Description: The Lesser Flamingo is an abundant species with over ca. 2.5 million individuals; these birds are extreme habitat specialists, with the majority of birds occurring in alkaline lakes in the Great Rift Valley in Africa. The destruction of those habitats could lead to a dramatic population declines.

Description: The Steppe Eagle is a long-distance migrant flying over a large part of the world from Central Asia, via the Middle East, crossing the equator and down to South Africa. On its long journey it is depending on different kinds of ecosystems as stopover sites.
