Statement by Ms. Patricia Espinosa on World Migratory Bird Day 2018

The celebration of World Migratory Bird Day is an opportunity to recognize the beauty and wonder of these extraordinary creatures. It should also remind us of the many threats that migratory birds face, from habitat loss to hunting to climate change. We can try to help migratory birds to adapt, but the most effective way we can ensure their survival is to minimize future climate change by reducing our emissions of greenhouse gases.
