World Migratory Bird Day Celebration 2015

Nature Iraq Organization, through its "Jensen Project for the Conservation of the Natural and Cultural Heritage of the Iraqi Central Marshes" together with BirdLife International, will celebrate this year's WMBD in the Central Marshes as the area is one of the most important wetland in the Middle East and the globe that receives many migratory and threatened bird species and is within the flyways of many global birds.

The celebration will include the following activities: 1) Lecture about this year's WMBD theme "Migratory Birds and Energy" 2) Exhibition of photographs of nature and birds 3) Briefing about how to use bird-watching field equipment and then a birdwatching trip in the Central Marshes. The event will target local amateur birdwatchers and youth associations. The participants will receive the following items: 1. T-shirts with the logo of the sponsor organization 2. Caps with the sponsor's logo 3. Folders with this year's WMBD theme and information about the event.
