The 6th Regional Directorate of The Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs is organizing the WMBD event with the participation of Yunus Emre Primary School students, teachers and Burdur Birdwatching Society members. The birdwatching activity will start from Kumluca Marshes and continue around Lake Burdur. The participants will be informed about migratory birds and the importance of their habitats while observing the migratory bird species of the site.

KuzeyDoga Society is celebrating the WMBD at Aras Bird Research and Education Center for a couple of days to share the importance of the site, the campaign, the scientific (bird banding etc) and conservation work being conducted at the site. Afterwards the participants will see the bird banding procedure and do birding around the wetland. The event participants include biology department students of Kafkas University,local communities, GO representatives in the region, school kids and KuzeyDoga volunteers.

La asociación Fondo Natural ha creado una web con información y noticias de las actividades organizadas por diversas entidades publicas y privadas en España.

Se tiene programada la visita a la Reserva Natural de las Aves Loro Orejiamarillo, en esta actividad se realizará una presentación sobre las características e importancia de la reserva y además se hará una presentación sobre la importancia que tienen las aves y su protección.

La RNA Loro Orejiamarillo fue establecida con el fin de garantizar la supervivencia y promover acciones de conservación dirigidas a las poblaciones de Loro Orejiamarillo (Ognorhynchus icterotis) y de Palma de Cera (Ceroxylon quindiuense), árbol nacional de Colombia y en peligro de extinción.

A las 6:00 am, se dará inicio a la jornada de observación de aves por la ruta de la vereda La Herrera, en la cual se pueden observar gran variedad de especies del municipio. La actividad se realizara con un grupo de estudiantes y docentes que pertenecen a la Escuela de Música del municipio de Jardín, con el objetivo principal de promover el interés por el conocimiento y la observación de las aves y a su vez dar a conocer la importancia de proteger su hábitat.
