Migratory Bird Day at Clark County Wetlands Park

Clark County Wetlands Park hosts its 5th Annual Migratory Bird Day with birding walks, Discovery Stations, activities, crafts and more. A free, family-friendly event at the Wetlands Park Nature Center. Partners include the Las Vegas Wash Coordination Committee, Red Rock Audubon Society, Bureau of Reclamation Lower Colorado River Multi-Species Conservation Program, Nevada Department of Wildlife, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Get Outdoors Nevada, Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve, the Nevada Dept. of Transportation, and Las Vegas-Clark County Libraries

World Migratory Bird Day 2018 "Unifying our Voices for Bird Conservation" with HIMPUS

     We, UKM HIMPUS - student representation of Veterinary Faculty of Syiah Kuala University, will carry out our second organized event to spread the word about WMBD. In 2015, UKM HIMPUS participated in a WMBD event organized by Aceh Birder. In 2016 - 2017 UKM HIMPUS continued WMBD celebrations as an organizer. So, this year we would like to continue our engagement in WMBD celebrations.

The series of activities that we propose starting in April 30th and then May 13th, 2018 as the peak of the celebration, namely:

World Migratory Bird Day Festival - Siletz Bay NWR

Description: Indoor festival with booths, presentations, and activities for adults and kids including a live raptor demonstration. Door prizes and gifts for moms. We may also offer field trips at local sites.

World Migratory Bird Day at River Point Bird Observatory

World Migratory Bird Day is celebrated annually at River Point Conservation Area, where BRI, our partners, and the community join together in a celebration of migratory birds. This event takes place early May and features a day filled with fun and activities such as bird walks, nature walks, and the unique opportunity to see research in action through bird banding demonstrations. Morgantown Migratory Bird Day at Cooper's Rock State Forest

Second Migratory Wings Festival "Celebrating Bird Migration in Laguna de Términos"

Come and join us in our second festival celebrating the migration of birds. We will have many activities for kids and adults to raise awareness about the importance of protecting birds and their habitat. Enjoy with us the birds, art, games, movies and birding walks.

Stork day festival

Primary school „ Strasho Pindjur “ Chesinovo and the municipality of Cheshinovo-Obleshevo are orginizing the Stork day festival 2017 for the fifth time, since the municipality received the European Stork village award in 2013. Cheshinovo-Obleshevo has one of the largest populations of White Storks, with over 70 nests built on roofs and electrical pylons. The friendly attitude of the locals to the storks was also one of the main reasons why this municipality received the award.

World Migratory Bird Day -2017

Like last 5 years, Nature Study and Conservation Club, Department of Zoology, Jagannath University is going to celebrate the world migratory bird day. However, 10th May is national holiday in Bangladesh. To get the more audience in the program the organizing comittee decide to celebrate the day on 9th May this year instead of 10. The program is going to be celebrated in the zoology department auditorium of Jagannath University.

Homat Al Hima - The Way of Life to Sustainable Development - Kids Day

The Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon, in collaboration with the municipality of Kherbet Kanafar, will be hosting a national conference titled “Homat Al Hima - The Way of Life, for Sustainable Development”, under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism. The two-day-conference is planned in partnership with the West Bekaa Country Club and Homat Al Hima International; funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation - SDC and MAVA Foundation.
