Another Celebrate Birds Birdwalk! At Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve

If you haven’t been able to join of the Celebrate Birds! birdwalks so far, you still can with a couple of outings in the next few days scheduled in conjunction with Loudoun Wildlife’s annual Birdathon and to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day.

This is the height of migration so it’s a great time to go out. Saturday’s walk will be at Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve, one of the county’s birding hotspots. No registration is required. Details are here. The walk Sunday at Algonkian Park is full BUT we’ve just added a new outing that will take place Wednesday morning.

Wednesday’s birdwalk will be at the Institute Farm, the home of the National Beagle Club of North America, and a location that is on the National Register of Historic Places. Only a limited number of spaces are still available so sign up here. The walk begins at 8 a.m.

Don’t forget: You can also still support our Birdathon teams, who go out to see how many species they can count to raise funds for Loudoun Wildlife.
