Fundacion AHLE is located in the small village of San Francisco de Yojoa, in the north-central region of Honduras.
It is located in the Lake Yojoa Basin region; an important chain of several ecosystems that include Lake Yojoa, the National Park Cerror Azul, the National Park Montaña de Santa Barbara, and a several wetlands near the lake
Fundacion AHLE is a non profit that hosts kids that have been victims of domestic violence or that have been abandoned by their parents.
I visit this part of Honduras two or three times a year. With the help of a local birding club we have organized birding workshops and birding trips for the kids - ages 8-18
I will be back in Honduras in the period December 20, 2018 through January 6, 2019 and I plan to do 2 workshops and a birding trip with a group of at least 20 kids - so 2 workshops of 10 kids each and a birding walk in the area . This is plan for Saturday December 22 and Sunday December 23
