World Migratory Bird day at Beltzville State Park

Come celebrate World Migratory Bird Day on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Enjoy a 2 hour walk and talk on bird migrations and learn ways to help protect these magnificent migrators and their habitats. We will be driving to at least 2 locations to view various migrating species. This walk will be between 1-2 miles in length.

Dust off your binoculars and grab your field guides as we go search for migrating birds. The park will provide a limited amount of field guides and binoculars for use during the program. Park staff will accompany conservation volunteer and avid birder to lead this bird walk program from 8:00am-10:00am. This walk will begin at Pine Run Boat Launch followed by a trip over to the day use area where we will look for other migrating species.

Please wear gear and shoes that can withstand light rain if needed.  If heavy rain occurs we will have a rain date scheduled for the the following day, Sunday, 5/12/2019 for 8am at Pine Run Boat Launch.
