World Migratory Bird Day at Mac Johnson Wildlife Area

Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day, the Mac Johnson way.

Experience the spectacular display of Biodiversity in the Biosphere, as we learn about the Migratory Birds that have returned home from their Winter holidays. Birds are an integral part of the ecosystem and  a great indicator of a healthy environment. Learn more about what brings our winged friends back to the Biosphere each year and what you can do to help.

The forests are chattering with sound, as the birds look all around, calling to a potential mate, maybe this is their first date!

Join us for one of two guided hikes, craft your own bird whistle, and learn Biosphere Birding 101. Don't forget your cameras and a good pair of hiking shoes, this event is sure to produce some beautiful photos and add a couple of steps, to your fit bits!

This is one of three events, hosted at our FAB Nature Camp locations: Landon Bay, Kendrick's Park, and Mac Johnson Wildlife Area.

We will also be conducting a "Leave No Trace" Park Clean Up Challenge - do something good for the environment and win a great prize! It is a win-win for everyone.
