Zambia: Shoebill Stork & other bird species birdwatching and nature experience safari for 14 days to Bangweulu wetlands

Zambia offers excellent birdwatching opportunities as the diversity of bird species is amongst the highest in the world. The diversity is simply breath taking!

Kasanka and Kafue National Parks of Zambia make rewarding destinations for bird enthusiasts seeking to delve deeper into Africa’s little known birding areas. The Bangweulu Wetlands is the best place in the world to see the mighty shoebill, especially in season. There is a staggering variety of other bird species and the major species to be sought out here from a wildlife point of view are the black lechwe which are found in their hundreds of thousands. Kasanka National Park  is also renowned for being home to the largest population of bats on earth. Every year, between October and December about 10 million straw-colored fruit bats descend into a tiny patch of evergreen swamp forest inside Kasanka National Park. This natural phenomenon is said to be the biggest migration of land mammals on earth and is reportedly unique only to Kasanka.

We look forward to welcoming your clients to Zambia and promise to deliver to higher birdwatching excursion expectations.
