World Migratory Bird day in Mongol Daguur SPA in north east Mongolia

Mongolian bird conservation center and Dornod park administration will celebrate migratory bird day in Mongol Daguur strictly protected area (MDSPA) on 12th - 19th of May.  This event founded by Asian Waterbird Conservation Fund. Mongol Daguur holds a significant proportion of the global breeding population of the White-naped Crane Grus vipio, Swan Goose Anser cygnoides and many species of water birds including threatened shore birds such as Far Eastern Curlew Numenius madagascariensis, Asian Dowitcher Limnodromus semipalmatus, Relict Gull Larus relictus etc. To celebrate World Bird Migratory Day with soum school kids at Chukh and Tari lakes which locate near to the soums (towns). To organize the training to improve the wetland conservation knowledge and values and benefits of EAAF network sites for school children in 3 schools of soums /town/ where Mongol Daguur SPA located.
