On May 9th.-a day seminar for 180 people: representative students from 400 primary schools and junior high schools that participate in 'Explore the Birds' –educational program and their teachers from all over Israel- Jews and Arab .
The seminar will include collaborative study, lectures and workshops on migrating birds that are in danger such as Lesser Kestrel, Common Swift and Barn Swallows. Among the activities there will be a workshop for studying the frequency of feeding in an On-Line Common Swift nest, a workshop for planning a communal activity to save the Lesser Kestrel in Israel, and a workshop in which the students will build shelves from reused carton boxes to catch the dirt from Swallows nests that will be placed under the nests in shopping malls to prevent the dirt on the floors and walls and convince the owners not to destroy the nests- a very common problem for the Barn Swallows in Israel.
