Birds Without Borders

About 160 species of birds seen in Bolivia are migratory and every year thousands of birds arrive in their southern or northern travel. Because Bolivia is a key stop for many species of migratory birds, the National Museum of Natural History will open the exhibition "Birds Without Borders" on the occasion of the “World Migratory Bird Day” and the “Long Night of Museums”.

The exhibit will feature panels with general information about migratory birds, their routes, and the importance of wetlands as feeding and resting sites. Special emphasis will be placed on bird species that arrive to Bolivia, by displaying scientific samples of the Collection of Ornithology. The exhibition will be open for a week, from 17 to 23 May.
