Migratory birds from the Neretva Delta

Ornithological collection in Metkovic, Croatia Our students have visited the ornithological collection in Metkovic, our hometown, which is by size among the largest collections of its kind in Europe and studied the migratory birds of our region, some of which, unfortunately, have become extinct. The collection contains more than 340 exhibits which are examples of 218 bird species, out of 310 species so far recorded in the Neretva region, Croatia.
