Share the Park: Shorebirds at St. Joseph Peninsula State Park

Educational demonstrations , in conjunction with Audubon representatives, on shorebird identification, nesting and migration patterns. Activities will  focus primarily on the endangered Snowy Plover, that have the largest nesting area in Florida at the Park. The event will include bird identification techniques using guides, apps and walks through nesting areas protected by symbolic fencing.

Migratory Bird Day Celebration Denver Parks

Denver Parks and Recreation/Open Space program will be hosting World Migratory Bird Day at Cheesman Park on Friday, May 13, 2022 - 10:00am to 3:00pm. Denver's Open Space, along with our conservation partners, will provide educational and interpretive displays to entertain both kids and adult of all ages. There will be displays from various bird conservation agencies providing interactive activities, bird and nature walks, crafts, etc.to bring out the awareness and interest in bird conservation and habitat issues around the world.

 

Helena Valley Bird Day

The Helena Valley has hosted World Migratory Bird Day for over 15 years, in partnership between the Montana Discovery Foundation, Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest, Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks, Birds & Beasleys, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Reclamation, Prickly Pear Land Trust, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and more!

Migration Celebration at Four Rivers

During May, songbirds migrating from South America pass through our area on their way to breeding grounds in the forests of Canada. These tiny travelers use forest preserves as stopover spots to rest and refuel. Join us to learn the secrets of these birds’ extraordinary journeys during guided hikes, family activities and presentations.

ABQ BioPark World Migratory Bird Day

Come to the ABQ BioPark's Botanic Garden and celebrate migratory birds with us! We will have games, crafts, education, bird walks, and lots of fun. You might even see one of the WMBD focus species for this year:  black-crowned night herons, western tanagers, and Wilson's warblers are all summer residents at the Botanic Garden.

Dim the Lights for Bird Migration

The village of Grayslake, Illinois will celebrate Migratory Bird Day 2022 with a presentation "dim the lights for bird migration" on Monday, May 18, at 7 pm. The meeting will be held at Village Hall and will feature manager of the Skokie Valley Astronomers Dale Dellutri and Audubon member Diane Rosenberg. The problem of light pollution for bird migration has been recognized as a serious threat to birds worldwide.. Rosenberg emphasizes migration in Lake Coutny, Illinois, Whil Dellutri illuminates the extensive nature of light pollution and related issues.

Migration Celebration at Springbrook Nature Center

Join us on May 14th, 2022, from 10am-1pm, in celebrating the return of our migrating bird friends at our free, family friendly, outdoor event! Learn about different bird species returning to Minnesota this season, and try spotting a few yourself! Go on a birding hike, become artsy with bird crafts, and observe live raptors up close!
