Flying WILD Educator Workshop at Elkhorn Valley Museum

Nebraska is home to over 450 species of birds. Birds are everywhere... schools, local parks, even your backyard! Why not use birds to engage students in learning all subjects? Nebraska Project WILD will be facilitating a FREE workshop to help you do just that! Participants will receive a ‘Birds of Nebraska’ field guide and ‘Flying WILD: An Educators Guide to Celebrating Birds’. Through over 40 activities, the Flying WILD guide helps all educators - including non-formal and formal teachers – introduce students to the world of birds, why birds are amazing creatures, and why birds are so important. This workshop will focus not only on how to engage students in birds and bird watching, but also in STEM skills.
