International Migratory Bird Month Celebration at DeSoto National Wildlife Refuge

Bring your binoculars and join us Sunday, May 20 for an afternoon of events at the DeSoto Visitor Center.

At 1:00 pm in the Multipurpose Room will be a presentation about landscaping for birds.

They need more than just feeders! Stick around at 2:00 pm for Basic Bird ID, followed by a

birding hike at 2:15 pm on the Missouri Meander and Green Heron Trail, starting just outside the Visitor Center. Another round of Bird ID is at 3:15 pm, with another birding hike at 3:30 pm. Both experienced and beginner birders are welcome to participate. Binoculars and Bird ID Guides will be available for loan during the activities.

Fee: Entrance permit required for all vehicles ($3 for private vehicles, $20-30 for vans and buses

Ages: All ages, children must be accompanied by an adult.
