Celebrating World Migratory Bird Day 2020

Dubai Gem private school celebrated world migratory bird day on the 7th of October in order to raise awareness about the need to conserve birds and their natural habitats. This initiative was led by the students of year 13 who then went on to educate the younger grades about this crucial matter. Amongst other things, the students were taught about the origins of this day, and the reasons for its celebration. This was followed by numerous educational activities such as a word scramble and a quiz competition which the students thoroughly enjoyed, and actively participated in. The interactive session ended with the students reflecting upon their thoughts on social media as well as on a padlet wall (linked below).
