Three Billion

“Three Billion”, is an art show curated by Brickworks Gallery owner and artist, Laura W. Adams at the Hudgens Center for the Arts, located in the Atlanta, Georgia metro area.  “Three Billion” references the recent news and research that has shown the loss of 3 billion birds in North America over the last 50 years.  Adams is assembling work by a small group of artists whose work has either delved in to the plight of birds, or whose work has celebrated nature and birds and their habitats. All of the artists chosen have shown a long and strong commitment to protecting wild birds and their habitat.  Adams is also collaborating with the Atlanta Audubon Society on several elements the show, including a children’s exhibit, #BringBirdsBack.  On Saturday, May 9th, from 2:00- 4:00pm, the Hudgens Center is hosting the opening event for this show, on World Migratory Bird Day.
