World Migratory Bird Day 2020 in Cambodia

For World Migratory Bird Day 2020 in Cambodia we will organize an event infront of Roka Khnong Lake in Doung Keo City, Ta Keo Province. The event is organized by the Department of Freshwater Wetlands Conservation, Ministry of Environment in collabrated with EAAFP, BirdLife International Cambodia and Wildflowl & Wetlands Trust Cambodia. A pair of Sarus Crane made out of a recyled rubber tire will be installed in the public park infront of the lake to promote and raise awareness to the public about the presence of the vulnerable species - the Sarus Crane - in Ta Keo Province. The event will also involve a speech and lecture relating to what a migratory bird is, a flyway definition, migratory bird and its habitat conservation, etc. then followed by a Q&A game with local students. The awareness materials are provided to participants and students and some supporting materials are provided to rangers.
