Migratory birds carry out one of the most amazing journeys in the animal kingdom, crossing numerous countries and types of terrain. Their departure and arrival is often woven into the culture of many societies, signaling a time of change, particularly in the seasons. World Migratory Bird Day is an important occasion to celebrate and raise awareness of this wonderful movement of nature. Let us work to promote closer cooperation and to unify our voices to conserve these species and the habitats that they depend upon during their journey.
