Migratory Birds Festival in Syria

The celebration will start on Saturday, 14th May with a trip to Jabboul Lake north east of Syria for birdwatching activities. 15-20 Journalists will accompany this trip. In the afternoon a roundtable in Aleppo will discuss the role of migratory birds in nature, with a special focus on the Syrian environment. On Sunday there will be a big celebration for children at the faculty of veterinary medicine of the Al Baath University in Hama in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, Directorate of Children Culture to make them aware about factors affecting bird migration and the role of societies to prevent them. During this celebration a poster about the event will be printed and distributed. A film about migratory birds at Jabboul Lake will be launched on Sunday, 15 May, at the Syrian Educational Satelite Channel, which was written by Dr. Darem Tabbaa and Dr. Taleb Omran, filmed by Fouad Hamada and directed by Adel Meri.
Many articles will be published in the national and local newspapers and magazines.
