World Migratory Bird Day Celebrations

Local community groups or site support groups will be celebrating the day at different sites including South Nandi, Tana, Kinangop, Kereita, Kakamega, Mida creek, Dakatcha, Mt. Kenya, Yala, Dunga and Chereng'ani through various activities.
Some of these include birdwatching, video shows, clean-up exercises, talks and discussions, tree planting, raising awareness on bird identification, speeches from invited guests and entertainment.

The communities will be joined by invited schools, both primary and secondary, government agencies, Community Based Organisations and other stakeholders in conservation.

Press releases will be sent to the media in order to publicise and create awareness on the importance of migratory birds.
