Birdwatching

In celebration of World Bird Migration Day 2012. We are holding our 2nd Annual Birds Korea Birdathon on the weekend of 12 — 13 May 2012. Funds raised will again go towards our study of the Critically Endangered Spoon-billed Sandpiper, a charismatic migratory shorebird in imminent danger of extinction.

- Guided visits from 28/4 to 20/5
- Drawing contest for children 6 to 12 years old
- Esposition with some panels showing migratory routes and impotance of Avilés estuary
- Several articles to be published in local and regional papers
- Conferences in several schools

ICENECDEV will organise a 3 day celebration of world migratory bird day 2012 in the Buea municipality involving schools and local communities.These activities include:Bird watching on mount Cameroon, taxi movement sensitization Campaigns, awareness raising workshop and bird education in schools in Buea located in the south west region of Cameroon.
We will reach a larger public of about 3,000 peoples and increase the impact of your support to migratory birds in Cameroon and diaspora.

Jol Jongol, demur para, 6 Km north of Gazipur district on Gazipur Pubail Road, Bangladesh. It is a small and symbolizes typical rural Bangladesh. It has representative Jungles, wetland, rural pond and cultivable land with birds and other wildlife . Bird lovers are going to
arrange birdwatching , education and cultural progrmme on Birds with the villagers.

1. Conducting bird watching at city parks of Purwokerto
2. Distributing awareness materials (stickers, leaflet)
3. Publish press release to newspaper media (local, regional and national)

On Saturday the 12th we will start with a birdwatch tour in the morning. In the evening we will offer a talk about Bird Migration on the East Atlantic Flyway.
On Sunday afternoon we will offer several activitys for children in our Sience Centre of Nature Forces.

Celebrate the return of our feathered friends! May 12 is the USFWS's International Migratory Bird Day and the United Nations Environmental Program's (UNEP) World Migratory Bird Day. Join CRD Regional Parks, Rocky Point Bird Observatory and the Victoria Natural History Society to learn more about the journey that birds take from their summer and winter homes. This free drop-in event offers engaging activities for birders of all ages, expertise and abilities.

The tour, also included in the "Primavera Slow 2012" program, will touch many sites in the southern part of the Po Delta Park in Emilia Romagna in order to contact as many species possible by voice and sight. Last year the two small radio-linked 9-seats minibus contacted 102 species migrating and breeding in Po Delta Park. Therefore, this year the challenge is even harder!
