Morning birding walk in Wadi Degla, Cairo, Egypt, moved to Maadi because of Covid restrictions.

Fontenelle Forest is participating in a citizen-science event in partnership with other state-wide organizations to help celebrate Nebraska’s Migratory Bird Month.

Rather than hosting a large event, this year’s Bird Day partners will be hosting a series of events and activities throughout late April and early May.

Participants complete activities, get their passports stamped and compete for prizes. 

On May 30th 2021, A few enthusiasts went to watch the birds of Salehieh Wetland in Alborz province / Iran. Due to the Corona pandemic, we participated in this event by mask and observe the distance, which was actually organized by the Tarlan Ornithological Association on the occasion of the International Day of Migratory Birds.

We will do birdwatching in Police Park which is located in east of Tehran / Iran on 7 May 2021.

Arenzano heights are the ideal meeting point for celebrating World Migratory Bird Day: here thousands of birds of prey, like the Honey Buzzards, pass through on their way from Africa to Europe to nest. However, they are not the only ones still migrating: we will observe Booted Eagles, Hawks, Kites and young Short-toed Eagles flying across the Beigua’s sky following one of the most important migration routes.
