Bird Day Celebration - Potter Park Zoo!

This is the 22nd annual BIRD DAY Celebration held at the Potter Park Zoo in Lansing, Michigan. Co-sponsored by the Potter Park Zoo, Michigan Department of Natural Resources, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service this event will feature bird-related activities for children throughout the zoo. Come learn about nest boxes from Woodcraft Kits and bird banding from the Burke Lake Banding Station.  See birds of prey up close and watch baby chicks hatch.  Learn about 'bird parts' and how to use a field guides. Activities are targeted for younger children, and the young at heart!  Activities take place between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

June 2 is also Lansing's Be a Tourist in Your Own Town day.  Visitors with a Be a Tourist passbook receive free admission to the zoo!
