Conservation of Migratory Birds in Tanguar Haor of Bangladesh

Date: 12 May 2018 (Tentative)

Location: Adjacent to the Tanguar Haor (EAAF 105), Shunamgonj, Sylhet, Bangladesh

Organiser: The program will be organized by the Nature Conservation Society in close collaboration with Bangladesh Forest Department, Zoological Society of Bangladesh and Nature Study & Conservation Club, Jagannath University.

Target participants: Local stakeholders, local NGO representatives, local school children, local government representatives, co-management committee personnel etc.

Event Plan: An awareness campaign will be held with the participation of primary stakeholders and school children. Migratory birds photo exhibitions, documentary presentation and short drama on migratory birds and its habitat conservation will be conducted.

Expected Outcome: Through this event local stakeholder will be sensitized about the conservation of migratory birds. Future generation will aware about the conservation necessity of wildlife, its habitat and human impact to the wildlife etc.
