The Migrant - Sooty Falcons in Oman- Documentary Screening and Panel Discussion

 

Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with the Sooty Falcon Movie

The Emirates Natural History Group, the Convention on Migratory Species Office – Abu Dhabi and CinemaSpace present a screening of the documentary The Migrant - Sooty Falcons in Oman, 2017, an Omani-German film about Oman’s efforts to study and protect this long-range migratory bird. The screening will be followed by a special audience discussion with Omani researcher Waheed Abdullah Al Fazari, Head of Wildlife Division, Office for Conservation of the Environment, Diwan of Royal Court, Sultanate of Oman, and Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi avifauna scientist Shahid Bashir Khan. 

The Sooty Falcon Movie won the best documentary movie category at the Muscat International Film Festival (2018).
