Migratory Bird Day at the Alaska Zoo

It 's Year of the Bird, so spread your wings for conservation and migrate to the Alaska Zoo!  This year's celebration will be on Sunday, May 20th, from 11am-4pm. Explore hands-on activities, visit organization booths focusing on bird conservation, and find out what makes Anchorage and other parts of Alaska important for birds migrating to the far north.  Learn what you can do to help these amazing feathered travelers survive their journey in your own backyard and beyond.  Other event highlights include education birds from Bird Treatment and Learning Center, Jr. Duck Stamp winning artwork, kid's craft station, an interactive "Stopover" game, and much more!  Event partners include U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Alaska Zoo, the U.S. Forest Service, and Audubon Alaska.  We hope you will join us for this family-friendly fun event!
