World Migratory Bird Day - Togo

Good destination for the ornithologists, the Lake Togo allows to observe easily many species of birds. We list it more of different 100 which use the area of the lake (64 km ²) and the favorable environmental conditions according to their needs (migration, places of food or nesting). The most representative species of the lake Togo are the following ones: African Darter, Cattle Egret, Little Egret, Western Reef Egret, Squacco Heron, Black-crowned Night Heron, African Openbill Stork, White-faced Whistling Duck , Yellow-billed Kite, Black Crake , African Jacana , Black-winged Stilt, Spur-winged Lapwing, African Palm Swift, Pied Kingfisher, Malachite Kingfisher, Blue-breasted Kingfisher, White-throated Bee-eater, Ethiopian Swallow, Winding Cisticola, Copper Sunbird, Slended-billed Weawer… You will have the opportunity to discover many others due to the experience of your guides.
