World Migratory Bird Day Celebration

Saturday, April 27 8am-Noon

Capture and banding of migrating songbirds by US Fish & Wildlife Service biologists (8-10:30am)

Activity Stations & Bird Passports (8am-Noon) —Get your passport stamped as you participate in over 20 games and activities! More stamps = more prizes, including our ever-popular Audubon plush bird that sings its song when squeezed! Door prizes include binoculars, photo prints, and more.

Activities include bird walk and class on how to bird.

The day also launches a 3-week birding marathon. Sign up!

Hosted by McHenry County Conservation District, USFWS, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Friends of Hackmatack National Wildlife Refuge, Friends of Volo Bog and McHenry County & Lakeland Audubon Societies.
