World Migratory Bird Day Observation at Langolsabi, Loktak Lake Manipur

Keeping in mind the pandemic, the All Loktak Lake Areas Fishermen's Union, Manipur will observe the Day with limited volunteers at Champu Khangpok floating village in Loktak Lake of Manipur. Loktak is a Ramsar site and hosts wide variety of migratory water birds between October and February every year. The event is being organized with the objective of raising awareness on protection and conservation of these long distance flying winter visitors. Manipur is covered under Central Asian-Indian Flyway and East Asian-Australasia Flyway.
