Urban Birdwatch Belize City

Belize Audubon Society is hosting its annual Urban Birdwatch 2023 for Belize City. The Urban Bird Watch 2023, is an annual event organized by the Belize Audubon Society (BAS) to bring awareness to the amazing diversity of birds that live in or visit our urban areas. It is also a citizen science activity where we collect data on the bird populations found within our urban areas and enter into eBird, a global online database of bird observations. The Urban Bird Watch 2023 will take place in different locations across the country on different dates. You can find the schedule and the flyer attached to this email. The event will start at 6:00 a.m. and end at 9:00 a.m. Kickstarting the Urban Birdwatch 2023 is the Belize Birding Festival that will return on October 7th, 2023, in Belize City (Old Belize) after a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic. The festival is a celebration of Belize’s avian diversity, featuring distinguished speakers, workshops, vendors, art exhibitors, and other activities.
