The Wildlife Conservation and Birds Club of Ladakh (WCBCL), Leh is one of the pioneer NGOs in Ladakh dedicated to conservation of birds, mammals, reptiles, butterflies and flora of Ladakh.
On the 10th of May when the world of bird lovers are celebrating World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD), WCBCL is also joining this campaign to raise awareness about the importance of resting spots for the birds during migration and to preseve the existing bird habitats important for the migratory birds.
Tsokar Lake Basin or Tsokar Lake, Tasbuk in Ladakh is an important hotspot for migratory birds of Ladakh in India. WCBCL is organizing World Migratory Bird Day field trip to this Tsokar Lake in Ladakh.
