Energy: Make it Bird Friendly! The International Standards in establishing Renewable Energy Projects

It will be an informative event in a workshop that will be a gathering of stakeholders dealing with renewable energy projects and the national transporting and distributing energy industry. This will highlights the hazards and threats that such establishments might pose on the migratory birds in general and MSBs in particular during their spring and autumn migrations in the country and introduce the sensitive energy development concept highlight the significance to protect their habitat and their passage route. It will also promote the benefit of incorporating international standards and criteria of such business in attracting donors and funding agency to help in such work.

Activities will include the following:

- Identification of potential donors and funding agencies to assist in such establishment

- Presentations about international standards and criteria for establishing Renewable Energy Projects.

- Mainstreaming the international standards of such projects in the EIA process.

- Presentations about the effect of the power establishment on birds.
