Ghana marks World Bird Migratory Day at Songor Ramsar Site

The Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission in collaboration with the Friends of Ramsar Sites Ghana is organising activities to celebrate 2012 WMBD at Songor Ramsar Site, Ada. The activities include official launch of the WMBD; educational talk on the phenomenon of bird migration highlighting on the its importance for tourism at Songor; birdwatching, exhibition and boat cruising on the Volta River Eastuary. The event is expected to last for 2 days and targeted on school children, the Ada community members, tourists, the Ghanaian media and the general public.
