A 3 mile bird walk starting at Airport Marsh at 0700 and then moving to the 289 Airport Road Trailhead at 0800.

World Migratory Bird Day is an annual event for educating the public about the urgent conservation needs of migratory birds and their habitats. On Saturday, May 14, join Pipestone National Monument for a fun and informative day of activities for the whole family! 

World Migratory Bird Day

Wildlife Science and Conservation Center is a leading nature conservation and research organization in Mongolia, and we always considered the World Migratory Bird Day as an important annual event for our public engagement and education. We regularly celebrated the WMBD with the support from EAAFP and other partners. In 2022, we are planning to host WMBD events at two bird ringing stations located eastern and eastern Mongolia. These ringing stations are run by WSCC and dedicated to the songbird migration monitoring and public awareness for Mongolia.

World Migratory Bird Day at the Alaska Zoo

World Migratory Bird Day is celebrated annually at the Alaska Zoo with our longtime partner U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. This year’s event will feature birding signs with QR codes which visitors can scan with phone cameras to learn about birds and birding, binoculars available to borrow during your visit, take home items courtesy of U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Migratory Birds and an early morning guided bird walk (must buy tickets in advance online, spaces limited) to observe species passing through zoo grounds in early morning hours.

Alumnos de 5to (Juniors) visitaran diferentes zonas de vida en el Parque Nacional Los Haitises en Sabana de la Mar, provincia Hato Mayor.  Estaran acompañados de observadores de aves, maestros y padres.  La activida fomenta la interaccion con la naturaleza y la apreciacion de la misma.

World Migratory Bird Day 2022 in Indonesia

HIMPUS (Poultry Lovers Student Association) is an organization of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Syiah Kuala University, which is engaged in the development and observation of birds in Aceh, Indonesia. HIMPUS has focused on protecting migratory birds in Indonesia since 2014 by carrying out various public awareness efforts.

Wauwatosa Spring Bird Tour at The Forest Exploration Center

The City of Wauwatosa, in collaboration with the Forest Exploration (FEC), invites you to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day on May 14, 2022 at the FEC's Nature Trail, 1800 Forest Exploration Drive in Wauwatosa. Observe, explore and discover on two 90 minute hikes, beginning at 6:30 am and 8:30 am. The hikes will be led by Mark McNally, life-long birder and associate professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Mark will also address the significant threat light pollution poses to migratory birds.

The Big Sit!

The Big Sit! is a free, annual, international birding event open to anyone, anywhere in the world. All individuals or groups are eligible to participate; just follow The Big Sit! rules and submit your results. The Big Sit! can be as competitive or non-competitive as you would like, but it is meant to be fun. Some people have called it “a tailgate party for birders.”

Bioblitz en Parque Nacional Los Haitises

Durante los días 12. 19. 26 de febrero y el sábado 12 de marzo diferentes grupos de alumnos visitaron el Parque Nacional Los Haitises en la provincia Hato Mayor en el Sur-Este de la isla.  Realizaron observación de aves para luego identificarlas y completar informaciones sobre estas: aves de bosque húmedo montano y en el litoral costero.

Exploring the Birds of Costa Rica's Rancho Naturalista
