Celebrating Migratory Bird Day at Audubon Greenwich

Early risers can join like-minded feathered-friends fanciers on Saturday, May 12, at Audubon Greenwich for World Migratory Bird Day from 6:30 to 10 a.m.

“Audubon Greenwich (will) celebrate the incredible journeys of neotropical migrant birds with our annual bird walk and breakfast,” the facility said in its news release.

“We'll begin with an early morning bird walk at 6:30 to look for colorful migrant birds such as warblers, vireos, tanagers and orioles as they visit Audubon on their way northward.” The walk is free, and open to all ages, the organization said.

“Afterward we will celebrate with a delicious breakfast and activities for all bird lovers and families. This year will be the first time in 10 years that the breakfast will be hosted in our newly renovated Agnes Barn,” according to Audubon Greenwich. Breakfast is $10 per person.

Audubon Greenwich notes that the event now has a new name.
