International Migratory Bird Day Celebration at Millennium Trail

June 2 has been declared as International Migratory Bird Day in Superior and the city is celebrating with a chance to explore the habitats of the Superior Municipal Forest with local birding experts and a lunch and keynote speaker at the Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve.

Then it's time to head to the Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve, 14 Marina Drive, at 11 a.m. for a lunch break. Kim Grveles, coordinator of the Wisconsin Stopover Initiative talks about "Helping Migratory Birds in our Backyards."

The event wraps up with questions from 12:30-1 p.m.
