Bring the family out for this fun Migration Celebration event! Join Bird Conservancy of the Rockies, Nebraska Game and Parks, and U.S. Forest Service staff in celebrating Nebraska Bird Month at Chadron State Park! Practice bird identification skills during guided hikes; an early bird hike at 7am and a family hike at 9am with special guests from the Nebraska Ornithologists' Union. Bring your own binoculars or check some out during the hike. After the hikes, children are invited to create unique bird crafts, play migration games, and learn more about birds of the area from 10am - 12pm! Take home give-aways and prizes! Hikes and activities will start out at the Lagoon Shelter.
