Scheduled Activities

Early Morning Bird Hike 
7:30am – 9:00am | Meet in the parking lot with binoculars at the ready.

Bird Banding
9:00am – 12:00pm | Takes place near the Pavilion. Conducted by the Urban Ecology Center.

Bird Conservation Priorities at Schlitz Audubon
11:00am | Presentation by Schlitz Audubon Director of Conservation Marc White in the Auditorium.

Bird Research, Education, and Conservation in Southeastern Wisconsin
10:00am | Presentation by Director of Bird City Wisconsin Brian Lenz in the Auditorium.

Raptor Free-Flight Demonstration
10:30am and 1:00pm | Demonstration by the Schlitz Audubon Raptors at the Amphitheater.

Birding the Milwaukee River by Canoe
12:00pm – 3:00pm | Led by Schlitz Audubon Don Quintenz and Childrens Events Coordinator AJ Grill. Canoes will launch from the Highway C put on the river. A shuttle van to the launch will leave from Schlitz at 11:30am. Please call 414-352-2880 x0 to register.

Birding 101
1:00pm | Learn birding basics with Naturalist Tess Stahler in the Auditorium.

 

Outdoor Drop-In Activities

Bird Relay Game
10:00am – 2:00pm | Takes place at the Grassy Lot.

 

Indoor Drop-In Activities

Bird Call Bingo For Families
10:00am – 2:00pm | A new game takes place every thirty minutes in Classroom 4.
