Celebrate WORLD MIGRATORY BIRD DAY and YEAR OF THE BIRD with Yellowstone National Park and the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center

Experience World Migratory Bird Day and join us for a day full of programs that celebrate and teach the role and importance of wild birds.

SATURDAY, May 12

8:00 AM - NOON: BIRDWATCHING CAR CARAVAN

Meet at the picnic area at Madison Junction in Yellowstone National Park. The caravan will travel from Madison Junction to West Yellowstone. Expect possible 30-minute construction delays between Mammoth and Norris. Park entrance fee is required.

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM: All Activities at the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center; 201 South Canyon St; West Yellowstone, MT

1:00 PM: Live Raptor Program

2:00 PM: Birds of Yellowstone presented by Katy Duffy, Yellowstone National Park

3:00 PM: Bird Banding Activity for Kids

The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center will launch our Year of the Bird conservation action initiative to help wild birds.    Learn what actions you can take to conserve wild birds and make a commitment to help birds near your home or in your community.

The first 100 people to commit to conservations actions will receive a commemorative Year of the Bird pin!
