Clallam County Migratory Bird Day and Birdathon

Saturday, May 11th, is the 2019 Clallam County Birdathon and World Migratory Bird Count. This is a chance for everyone to have a fun time birding in Clallam County, keeping track of all the birds we see. It also raises money for important Audubon projects on the north Olympic Peninsula. You can help whether you count all day, just a few hours in morning or evening, or hang out around your house and count your yard and feeders.

The World Migratory Bird Count includes all birds tallied in Clallam County in one day. No matter whether you live in or just visiting Clallam County, you can help out. Clallam County holds the record for the most number of species seen in one Washington county in one day, 203 species seen on this Birdathon in 2012. Contact the Dungeness River Audubon Center in Sequim to find out how you can help.
