Migratory Birds of Big Bend National Park, Texas

Visiting birders and National Park Service staff have documented over 450 species of birds in Big Bend National Park, Texas. Almost half (42%) of those are migratory species. Birders of all experience levels are encouraged to visit Big Bend National Park on Saturday, May 11, and go birding. On Saturday, May 11, Ranger Hoyt will lead a guided walk through the woodland vegetation near the Rio Grande. The program is free. Participants will meet at 8:00 AM in the parking lot of the Rio Grande Village Store. Bring water, binoculars, and sun protection. 1 mile. 1.5 hours.
