World Migratory Bird Day at the Alaska Zoo

Spread your wings for conservation and migrate to the Alaska Zoo!  This year's celebration will be on Sunday, May 19th, from 11am-4pm.    Explore hands-on activities, visit organization booths focusing on bird conservation, and find out what makes Anchorage and other parts of Alaska important for birds migrating to the far north.  Learn what you can do to help these amazing feathered travelers survive their journey in your own backyard and beyond. Learn more about this year's theme Protect Birds:  Be a Part of the Solution to Plastic Pollution! and how you can help.  Other event highlights include education birds from Bird Treatment and Learning Center, Jr. Duck Stamp winning artwork, kid's craft station, organizations offering recycling advice, an interactive "Solutions to Plastic Pollution" game, and much more!  We hope you will join us for this family-friendly fun event!
