World Migratory Bird Day by Clark County Wetlands Park

Clark County Wetlands Park provides an important resting place for migratory birds. Learn about birds and enjoy crafts, games, and activities.

On Saturday, March 16, 2019, the public is invited to the 6th Annual Migratory Bird Day at the Wetlands Park Nature Center. Advance registration is required for the 7:00 am Early Bird Walk. Beginning at 9:00 am, the free, family-friendly Migratory Bird Day event begins with discovery stations, short birding walks, and activities for kids and adults. Agency partners will be on hand with more information about places to bird in the Las Vegas region.

At 2,900 acres, Clark County Wetlands Park is one of the largest urban wetlands in the Southwestern United States and serves as a popular destination for hikers and bird watchers. More than 300 species of birds and 70 species of mammals and reptiles have been spotted in the park, including beavers, coyotes, bobcats and snakes. The park features more than 20 miles of trails, including six miles within the Nature Preserve.
