World Migratory Bird Day At Iverson Park

We will celebrate Worldwide Migratory Bird Day and the 100th Anniversary of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, legislation that has saved the Snowy Egret, Sandhill Crane, Trumpeter Swan
and Bald Eagle from extinction. Meet at 8 a.m. at the large parking lot on the north side of Iverson Park near the Plover River. Look for the people with binoculars.

Once again, we will have several expert birders to guide you. After spending about two hours at Iverson Park, we may take a 10-minute
drive to Lost Creek Wetlands, the birdiest spot in Portage County. A total of 222 species have been observed there. We will spend no more than an hour there.
