2020 Bird Day LIVE from the Greenwich Audubon Center

Join Greenwich Audubon Center for a special virtual celebration of World Migratory Bird Day! Each year, Environment for the Americas coordinates World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD) as a celebration of the intercontinental journeys of birds. This year's theme for WMBD is "Birds Connect Our World," which aims to highlight worldwide migratory bird monitoring and tracking innovations.

Celebrating the peak of spring migration has been a long-standing tradition at Greenwich Audubon Center. Join us as we take part in a virtual WMBD celebration that will include special activities as well as friends from across the globe who will share how they are contributing to bird research and conservation in their corner of the world.

We will hear from Wildlife Rehabilitator Specialist Sunny Kellner with live raptors at Sharon Audubon Center; former Greenwich Audubon Center director Michelle Frankel from Australia; Rosabel Miro, director of Panama Audubon; and Albert Shol of Belize Audubon who will all be reporting on their exciting work.

We also want to hear from YOU! Please share what birds YOU are seeing and what you are doing to help migratory birds by sending pictures, videos, or messages to Ryan MacLean at [email protected] by Friday, May 8th. We hope to share some of these contributions both during our presentation and on social media.

We look forward to seeing you at our online celebration!
