Jos Bird Club (JBC) is a club that promotes love for nature and birds through its monthly activities. We emphasize environmental education and conservation through citizen science by recruiting members of the general public. Celebrating international days is part of the activities of the club. We join the international community to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day 2021 with the theme: Sing, Fly, Soar_Like a Bird
The WMBD is celebrated on two peak days annually. These are observed on the second Saturdays of May and October. This aligns perfectly with JBC bird watching outings every second Saturdays of every month. To mark the first phase of the WMBD, the club will be bird watching and hiking for two days in Bassa LGA.

This will afford members of the club to explore and appreciate nature. It is also an opportunity to experience the changes in seasons, observe the changes in birds assemblage with seasons (Migration) and appreciate our connectedness and the need to conserve biodiversity as a whole.
