Bird Day Guided Hikes

Named after local naturalist and bird lover, the Hazel Bird Nature Reserve provides important habitat for grassland birds, including the eastern bluebird.

Join us in-person for a guided hike, and to learn about and explore the Rice Lake Plains at Hazel Bird Day — a day to celebrate migratory bird conservation and all the people who make NCC’s work possible. Please join us for family friendly hikes at the Hazel Bird Nature Reserve, 20 minutes north of Cobourg.

There are two guided hikes offered during this event. An early birding hike at 8:00 am and a restoration hike at 10:00 a.m.

Pre-registration is required for this FREE event. Please RSVP here and indicate which hike you would like to join.
